What does the PowerTool icon do?
When a PowerTool is connected to the App the bottom left-hand area of the screen will display the PowerTools serial number and the battery level will be displayed. If the tether is moved, the icon will animate the angle and height of the tether values.
By tapping the icon, PowerTool settings are available.
PowerTool Settings include:
Updated v4.1.5 - Re-Zero Now: The option to Re-Zero the PowerTool will be prompted if the unit has been incorrectly zeroed. The power tool display will also Flash red until the unit is correctly zeroed.
To zero the GymAware RS and PowerTool correctly, make sure the tether is fully retracted and then press the rezero button in the PowerTool settings.
This is an important step in assuring your GymAware is set up properly and collecting the data correctly.
Switch PowerTool: Tapping this icon brings up the list of available (awake) PowerTools that are available for connection. More information on switching PowerTools can be found in this article.
Disconnect: Does what it says - simple; it will also turn OFF the PowerTool.
Global Settings include:
Angle ON: This setting is always on. GymAware is the only LPT to account for the change in angle during movement. Some exercises and researchers will turn the angle measurement off - for example in a Nordic hamstring curl or other lateral movements.
Auto Connect: The very first PowerTool that is connected to the App will automatically have Auto-connect selected. By turning this off, a user will have to manually select which PowerTool it wants to use from a list when performing pairing.
PowerTool Time Out: The slider adjusts the zero movement time-out; by default after 15minutes the PowerTool will automatically disconnect and go to sleep. Use the slider to adjust this time up to 30 minutes.
