Navigate to Manage > Squads
Squad Status
Squads can either be Active or Inactive.
- Active squads are ones you would like to appear on your iPad.
- Inactive squads are ones you may have collected data about in the past but don't collect data for anymore yet want to retain the squad.
Creating a Squad
- Click the "Add Squad" button
- Enter the Squad name and description
- Assign coaches and athletes directly to the squad
- All coaches with access to the Squad will be able to view it under their login on the App and on the Cloud
Editing Squads
Click on the edit button (pen icon), here you can:
- Edit the squad name and add a description for it (You can call your squad what ever you like, usually this will be a grouping athletes who are going to train together.)
- Share them with other coaches
- Deactivate (or reactivate) the squad or delete if it is no longer needed.
- Select your athletes
- Upload a squad logo and view which coaches you are sharing this squad with.
Deactivating & Reactivating Squads
- Select the squad you want to deactivate / reactivate > edit the squad
- Toggle the status button to deactivate or reactivate a squad
By following this process, all athlete data associated with the squad will be retained in your account, but athletes not in an active squad will NOT be counted towards the active athlete limit on your account.
Delete Squad
To permanently remove a squad, you can delete it directly from one of the action buttons on the right of the squad
Athlete Limits
Have you reached the limit for number of athletes? Learn how to manage your data.
Within the GymAware cloud, you may encounter situations where you need to archive or delete data, particularly when you have reached the limits for the number of athletes allowed in your subscription level.
Important Note: When you archive an individual athlete, all their data will be permanently deleted within 30 days. To retain the athlete's data, deactivate the squad they belong to.
Managing data on GymAware's cloud subscription platform is crucial when you reach the limits for the number of athletes in your subscription level. By archiving, deleting, and restoring data effectively, you can optimise your account's performance.

Remember to consider the consequences of archiving individual athletes and coaches and take necessary steps to retain data or prevent data loss within the specified time frame.
