FLEX allows you to train with up to 3 people (including yourself).
Training with other people is simple with FLEX. In iOS version 1.11 other lifters are added from the first exercise selection menu when starting a new regular session (press TRAIN on the home screen).
We take this feature much further in iOS version 1.12 (coming soon). Other lifters can be added or removed at any time when training. This includes regular training sessions, when completing programs or using 1RM prediction protocols.
Your training partners will be able to complete the entire workout program for themselves, and finish the 1RM prediction protocol and receive their own 1RM prediction.
To use Group Train:
- Each individual needs to have their own FLEX Account.
- All profiles must be set to 'public'.
- You must have an active connection (send a follow request or accept a follow request)
Guest Mode:
If you are in a rush, you can train together immediately, and your friend can setup their account after the session. Use the Guest user field to create a temporary account they can claim later.
To get the full experience, your training partners should download the FLEX app for free and set up their own profile. This way they will be able to claim their data after every group training session and have it logged into their own account.

1. Download the FLEXStronger App:

2. Set your profile to public:
Go to Profile > My Account Info > Make My Profile Public > Set to on
3. Add your friend to your Community:
If your training partner isn't already a part of your Community, you will need to add them in. First, make sure they have downloaded the FLEX app and created a profile. Then:
> Go to Community/Add-Manage
Select your training partner from the list or start typing their name in the search bar. They will only turn up if they have made their profile public.
If your training partner is already part of your Community go straight to TRAIN. If not, select FOLLOW.
Your training partner will need to 'accept' the follow request in their own community. They will have a message in their community within a few short moments of you pressing 'FOLLOW'.
Start a Group Training Session (iOS v1.11)
- Tap the Buddy icon at the top of the screen next to the word TRAIN
- Select up to two buddies from your list or type their name into the search bar
- Selected Buddies will display a solid blue Buddy icon next to their name
- To de-select a Buddy, tap the Buddy icon again.
Tap DONE
Next, select the exercise as you would for TRAIN and connect your FLEX device.
To change who is working, tap the PROFILE ICON AND NAME at the top of the screen. This will switch between profiles.

IN SUMMARY
To enter Buddy Mode. Go to the main menu (press Lift in footer) > Press Train > In the top right-hand corner press the Buddy Icon > Select your buddies (Max 2) > Select your exercise > Toggle between buddies by pressing on the athlete icons in the top right hand corner.
